Yes, he was a smart fighter. In fact, I don't think I have ever met a good fighter that wasnt mentally sharp.

How about a great jab? That's what I would pick.

To me its handspeed. Without handspeed a fighter isn't great.

Cottos handspeed is vastly under rated. Its not to bad at all.

j/k, heart and will is the most important attribute for any true warrior.
You're not entirely wrong lol. Floyd Jr.'s attitude helped get him where he is,it's part of his swagger. Right now he believes he is superior to every other fighter in boxing, and more flashier, which is why he's not a boxing fan. "Why watch inferior fighters try to master my craft?"

But anyways, it has to be intelligence. Speed, Power, etc. are all important but speed and power can be neutralized by a smart fighter. And heart and the desire to win is important but it must be accompanied by incredible intelligence. "Show me a guy that's ALL heart, and I'll show you a guy that's ready for a beating".

                      Heart and smarts.

The smarts to understand that what you have to do to win most fights (hard work every day) or a particular fight (adjustments).

                      The heart to do it.
