It would have been alot easier if he just said "I want a payday" just like Nate Campbell said.

You come from the nuthugging school of never criticizing a fighter you like?

I try to see things as they are.

Casa also said that he'd fight Pacquiao, so that makes me believe that he doesn't care about the opponent, just the payday. He's 36, too.. I'm a big fan but he's well, well past his best. A fight with Barerra isn't that horrible of a thought. Joke of the year by far is Mayweather/DLH II.

Let me phrase it in the way that makes it a complete ****ing joke:

The lineal lightweight champ who got shutout by a nobody and then had to pull a come-from-behind KO against the new Arturo Gatti is fighting a shot-to-death 122 pounder who has never fought at lightweight and is coming off 2 losses.

That for the lineal lightweight championship.

          Not amused.

To everyone who is saying that Casamayor isn't shot... he just STRUGGLED badly against an Arturo Gatti wannabe. That is terrible.

The way you phrased it just backs up what I'm saying. Shot fighter against shot fighter = Even fight.

I don't see how this is so ******. He's nearly out the door and wants to get the money he deserves. And he does deserve it.

Then he should let the fighters who are fighting to fight fight for the championships. Barrera and Casamayor can have their fight over in the Jones-Trinidad league.

Casa earned his title. maybe not with the Santa Cruz fight, but he nearly got ktfo for it a few weeks back. The title is what helps to draw the big money into the whole thing. Neither guy has a name like Jones or Trinidad.
