The joke of 2008 so far

After KO'ing the next Arturo Gatti when losing on 2 scorecards (which is a joke in itself), Joel Casamayor informs everyone that he doesn't want Nate Campbell, he would rather fight Manny Pacquiao (which is okay) or MARCO ANTONIO BARRERA. Are you ****ing kidding me? Barrera? You want a shot as **** fighter who started at 122, and has never fought at 135? **** off Casa.

He's trying to bleed his last days of big pay days by fighting big named fighters. I applaud him for it.

You applaud him for not even trying to disguise trying to get big paydays? I mean, at least Winky is going for someone like Kelly Pavlik.

Marco Antonio Barrera? That guy who has lost his last 2?

Most ppl get into boxing for the money, so why disguise it?? I dont think he wants to get hit in the face for lesser money he could receive fighting a washed up fighter.

Fair enough I guess. I think it is ridiculous that the champion recognized by The Ring, as well as the interim champion of both the WBC and WBO is calling out a fighter that has dropped 2 in a row, has never fought at the weight, and is officially retired, but that is just me.

            i agree to an extent...

i mean i know he's trying to cash out on big paydays while his career begins to slow down but some of these fighters are ridicoulous.

marco antionio barrera is WAY past his prime and it wouldnt even be fair...especially since he doesnt fight at 135.

secondly...MANNY PACQUAIO? beating katsidis makes him all of the sudden eligible to fight the second best p4p fighter in the world?

no it doesnt...not by a longshot...

he should probably just fight campbell and shut up...or not fight campbell and shut up.

if he wants the big money fights get past campbell or diaz and THEN you can talk about big money fights...casamayor is acting REAL ignorant at the moment to think a katsidis win makes him eligible for some of the sports best.

dont get me wrong...it was an impressive win...but he needs a fight or two to prove he can maintain that type of ability and it wasnt just a stroke of luck that he put on such a good performance.

Dont get me wrong, from just a fan's point of view you're right. From a boxers point of view I can see why he's doing what he's doing. His kids gotta eat too.

I dont blame him either. Why fight Nate Cambell when nobody wants to see it and hes already beat him. Its not like Nate Cambell will increase his legacy in the sport, so why not fight another legend and make a lot more money. Boxers fight for money and he's put himself in the position where he can fight who he wants, and since hes just about done, go for the big money.

DLH v. Forbes is a tune up fight...

and PBF v. DLH I wasnt a blowout or sided beat down (like PBF v. hatton). So the fight isnt going to be bad.

the fight just comes at a time when mayweather should probably fight cotto or another top welterweight instead.
