Kessler will make anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 million from fighting Choc. Compared to 600 000 against MIranda.

Also Kessler beat Mundine by the same margin that Calzaghe beat Kessler.

Anyways im thinking Mundine vs Froch will happen. Mundine will get out of it by trying to unify. A much better option.
Are you involved in the contract negotiations? how do you know so much about what the fighter will make? You seem 100% sure.

How much Kessler makes depends on Mundine. If the fight goes to a purse bid, 75% goes to the champ. I don't see Palle or anyone else bidding high enough where Kessler would end up with 1.5 or 2 mill.

I would have liked Kessler to fight Miranda, and I'm a bit disappointed that he doesn’t. It would have been fun, and could get him some US attention.

Kessler however, only dreams of holding all four belts. You can’t really dislike him for it, since it made for some fast unification fights, and really, there should only be one champ - right?
After getting thrown way down on all rankings, fighting high ranked Mundine is the only thing that makes sense when this is his goal.

**** the fake WBA title, in fact holding that title is almost embarrassing, but that doesn’t make Mundine a bad fighter.
**** all the nonsense about Ottke, anybody can suffer a freak ko.
Watch Mundine and tell me if you find him boring... He's really great fun to watch - fast and with an interesting style.

I hope this will go down in the US. You guys will be pleasantly surprised...

this article pretty much confirms kessler is ducking miranda. Like I said before though, if he gives him a shot after he wins against Mundine, he'll make up for it.

Do you think Choc can pull this off?

If he lets his hands go and fights more aggressive. I actually think he can win a close decision here. I think he knows it to.

I can understand Kessler not wanting to fight a dangerous guy like Miranda but that doesn't mean i'm not disappointed.
Mundine, as good a fighter as he is, seems like the safety first option to me
as Kessler already knows he has the beating of him.

I'm still trying to work out why the author of that article wasted their time thinking of as many subtle ways of saying "Kessler is scared of Miranda" without actually coming out and saying it. Maybe they realised how ****** it sounds when put so bluntly.

I think you guys are missing the point here.

Miranda is nothing in the SMW division. He has been beaten a couple of times at MW. And then he comes up to SMW and calls some big names out. Kessler has done the right thing and fought a competitive fight against Mundine. Kessler vs Miranda would be more lopsided than Kessler - Andrade and Kessler would stop him.

Miranda is simply over rated. He knocks out bums and Americans go wow, look at his power. I hate to sound repetitive i know it does, but look at the punch Mundine landed on Soliman in the 2nd round and then tell me if Miranda has ever done that against a more credentialled opponent.

Its easy knocking out tier C guys and thats what Miranda has done. Kessler is more powerful, a more complete fighter. And fighting Mundine is the right thing for him to do.

I'm not one of these people who rants and raves about Miranda, some people seem to think he's the best thing since sliced bread(he's not) but i'd rather see Kessler fight him than fight a guy that he's already beaten once.

I'm really liking the division at the moment though, lots of well matched fighters-Kessler, Mundine, Bute, Andrade, Bika, Froch, Inkin etc. should lead to plenty of good fights in the next year or two.
With Jermain Taylor to come and Calzaghe yet to decide the next step after B-Hop(win or lose) the Super Middles are gonna get better and better.

                      Nice post.

Even though i have said Kess and Choc will fight.

Wait for Chocs manager to offer Winky some big money for a fight. More exposure, less risk, its inevitable. And the WBA will give him time to hold off his mandatory by fighting Winky.
