Its only the States loss. I have said it for a while, the American boxing public are more focused on local fighters, and can not identify talent beyond there borders. Wait for Calzaghe to show you.

My guess is by the way the WBA are acting. They will strip Calzaghe of the super title, and appoint Mundine as champion. Before the Mundine-Kessler fight occurs. But by the time they do that Mundine will get out of the mandatory by attempting to unify against Froch who also has a paper title.

So Mundine will have a full belt and a paper title. Then he will try to unify again, he will fight Bute.

Trust me, Mundine will avoid Kessler at all costs. Its first stop Froch (after Inkin), then Bute, then whoever.

Cuz Kessler's pegged by most people as the heir to Joe C's throne he feels he can call a lot of shots. But these other guys have agendas too and he could end up gettin screwed out of a big opportunity by passin up Miranda. I thought he might wanna get the title first then face Pantera but with Mundine havin a defense scheduled already no way Kessler should have dropped the Miranda fight.

Froch is a genuine unknown quantity. Sometimes I like what I see (he has that lazy punching style that suggests enormous power and his chin seems pretty solid) and sometimes I'm appalled (holds his hands waaaay too low).

bout time mundine fought someone decent. He doesn't deserve that title in my opinion, he needs to beat someone good.

In my opinion he doesn't have a title. What garbage. I think the Miranda fight would have been more interesting. The fake belt Mundine has is useless anyway. Sanctioning bodies suck.

this fight just kind of irritates me. Mundine isnt a bad fighter, but
1. Mundine does NOT bring in nearly as much money as Miranda
2. Kessler already beat him pretty convincingly
3. There is no way in hell that Kessler vs Mundine would be a more fun fight to watch than Kessler vs Miranda.

seriously, this is a dumb fight. I was actually pretty excited about Miranda vs Kessler. Kessler will get nothing from this. The WBA title is a joke anyways, and he would be getting the 2nd(even more worthless kind) version of it.

No, this is a better fight for Kessler. Miranda is just a overhyped journeyman, but Mundine has a world title, so it's a more meaningful fight...

I think Mundine will be a more difficult opponent than Miranda, but Kessler will once again prevail.

I enjoyed their last fight. Mundine needs to take this if he wants to get more respect, his last few fights have been against chumps. I could see Kessler getting the edge again though, he'll be lookng to prove a point after the Calzaghe defeat

Yes, that point being he is a coward. Maybe he is waiting till the current American champions grow old like Calzaghe did, then he will be all over them and people will remember none of this.
