His chin isn't better at 147 if only somewhat, slightly - so straightening himself up and dancing away or throwing a few hard shots to give himself room is just as much of a fighting tactic as feinting or clutching.
thats the thing, i dont think he was hurt at that point. he might've been when the ref stopped the fight cause of the water, but in the 12th i dont think he was hurt enough to run away the entire round

i think he was more scared of being KO'd suddenly so he just played it safe

It was a close fight either guy could have won, and after gettin hurt bad in a few exchanges Cotto realized he was doin better boxing Shane than brawling with him. He was in big trouble a couple rounds before, but the last 2 he was okay.

During promotion for his fight with Judah, Shane has said on multiple occasions that Top Rank and Miguel Cotto are avoiding him. Is that true?

The way I remember it Shane had nothing to say for months after the Cotto fight. In fact the first and only person to talk about the rematch was Miguel Cotto himself. Miguel said he was interested in the rematch. Shane was nowhere to be found.

So now, about half a year later, after Cotto already committed to the Gomez fight, Shane is trying to claim that Miguel is hiding from him.

              That's a crock of ****.

This thread will get 1/2 a post, but freedom must ring!
He did this same **** with Mayweather too. Mayweather called him out for months (years even, but I'm talking about after Vargas 2) and Mosley ignored him coming up with BS excuses.

Then after De La Hoya-Mayweather, Mosley decides to call Mayweather out...after Mayweather is in negoatians(sp) will Hatton.

Mosley also said he learned something from Cotto in his defeat, that takes a big man to admit that. Its probably more of a confidence booster/promo at this point.

                  show me the difference.
the difference is floyd does that his whole career (dance around, run, whaterver you want to call it), and even if he didn't and that was the first time he ran, baldomir was 10 lbs heavier.

cotto fought someone his size, has never backed up his whole career to my knowledge, and starts doing it in the biggest fight of his life

He's been acting weird though, Tys. He's been very caustic and agressive about what happened in the Cotto fight. As I commented recently he's been showing signs and symptoms of the grief cycle.. I think he was traumatized.
