Hopkins is not a power puncher by any stretch and will get flogged on if he does land anything remotely damaging on Calzaghe. Joe reacts brutally when he gets in danger. I thought everyone knew that by now.
Well said my friend, it seems a lot of people don't get it ........so let it come as a surprise to them and let's just enjoy seeing their surprised looking little faces when after around round five B-Hop too has this look!
But, I must add this will be a hard fought affair and B-Hop will be in this to the end ,though taking more punisment than ever before.
Enjoy, to all our friends in America and please remember the majority of Brit's were appalled at the booing of the american anthem by the Hatton fans.

there are solid arguments for discrediting both resumes. I suppose we will find out in the ring. I'm pretty sure the deciding factor in this bout will be B-hops age.

If Calzaghe is coming to fight against the bigger and stronger man...hes getting his ass beat worse then I first predicted.

Hopkins is not bigger and stronger, I'd say they are both about the same size with Hopkins having the height/reach advantages.

Calzaghe walks around at about 200 lbs and has had trouble making the SMW limit for a long time.

Like many have said, the deciding factor will be Hopkins' age.
His offensive output has been lacking in his past fights but he has looked very good defensively.

If Hopkins can put his offense and defense together like he could in his prime against Glen Johnson and 'Tito' Trinidad, Calzaghe will have a very tough fight in his hands.

If Hopkins looks as good defensively as he did in his last few, this will be an ugly, dull fight and Calzaghe will win because of aggression and superior workrate (my prediction).

If Hopkins has lost a step since his past two fights and doesn't have the same reflexes/defensive ability anymore at age 43, we might see a one-sided fight.
It has happened before with old fighters, one night they look good, almost as great as they did in their prime and the next night they look old and shot.
