Joe Calzaghe: "I Will Hurt Bernard Hopkins"

How many fouls did Sakio Bika commit? Count them. How is ANYONE supposed to look at their best when ****ty fighters have to resort to dirty tactics because they have a: nothing to lose or protect, and b: have no skills to make a clean fight? Sakio Bike pulled every trick in the book and still got beat. Punching after the bell, punching behind the head, headbutting, you name it.

LOL. You guys are ******s, seriously.
When Hopkins says something like this everyone is like "OOH It's the mind games! He's getting into Calzaghe's head! look how smart Bernard is" but when Calzaghe uses mind games people think he is serious.

we shall see
i don't think joe can hurt bernard to be honest. I like joe to win the fight in one sided fasion but if roy in his prime couldn't hurt him i don't see joe past his prime doing it. He is making a mistake getting into the war of words with hopkins. Thats bernards game you can't win there why do it.

There is a difference between fighting and boxing. Pavlik could never beat Miranda in a fight but would destroy him every time in boxing. Calzaghe will not likely out box Hopkins. Even if Calzaghe can box better he still wont win. Why do you think Joe Cortez is the ref? So if Hopkins cant outbox him (Plan A) then he will mug him like he did Winky Wright. Wright was a better boxer and still didnt win because Hopkins mugged him. Only a physical style from a more athletic opponent with speed and power beats Hopkins ie Jermain Taylor and Roy Jones Jr. in his prime. Once they get in the ring if Hopkins does find that Calzaghe is a better boxer (which probably wont happen) then Plan B will be to grab him, beat him up on the inside, lean on him, head butt him, let him spend himself early, conserve energy early then hit him with right hand leads.. all the penitentiary tactics that boxers arent prepared for.. which is why Joe Cortez is the ref. Calzaghe has the speed and maybe (but not likely) the skill but he lacks the power and athleticism to impose his will on Hopkins like Taylor and Roy Jones Jr. did.

You have another thing coming. Hopkins is not a power puncher by any stretch and will get flogged on if he does land anything remotely damaging on Calzaghe. Joe reacts brutally when he gets in danger. I thought everyone knew that by now.

Bernard's a great fighter who knows how to use "dirty tactics" the best, if a ****ty fighter as you say was able to frustrate Calzaghe and not have him look his best what do you think Bernard is going to do to him?

calzaghe should know by now that Hopkins has a great chin. Calzaghe is just trying to hype up the fight, he knows he can't hurt Hopkins.

Calzaghe did sit more on his punches against Kessler and he was very successful with it. Now if Jermain Taylor can intimidate Bernard with a strong jab and a pathetic right hand over 24 rounds, I see no reason why Calzaghe shouldn't be able to do better.
I think what will surprise people the most is how strong Calzaghe is on the inside.
