I've Seen This Thread About 20 Times Over The Years. Every Year There Are More And More People That Think Mayweather Would Win. Yea Both Fighters Are Great Defensive Fighters, But Of The Two Whitaker Had More Power And Would Shoot That Jab. Imo Whitaker In His Prime, Noone Beats Him. Close Decision Though.

My ***** Whitaker puts on a clinic as usual.

119 - 109...well maybe not that bad, but you get the idea.
I don't see any way that Whitaker could out point Floyd by that Margin.

      That's not even a credible/feasible outcome IMO.

Good matchup, but I have to lean towards Sweet Pea.

119-109 is way too wide, Mayweather is better than that. Whitaker would win a close but clear decision, something along the lines of 116-112 or 115-113.

We're discussing Floyd Mayweather right? Not Roger?

yeah like i said, i was kidding, but only half kidding.

                117-111, 117-111, 118-110, would'nt shock me at all.

I always thought that the one punch that Mayweather was the most susceptible to was the jab...that was Whitaker's bread and butter, he has one of the most efficient jabs of all time.

well, hands down the closest fighter to Pernell that Mayweather fought was Judah...he had trouble in the beginning when they were boxing more from the outside, but then started keeping a high guard and walked him down.

the closest to Mayweather that Pernell fought...hmmm...hard to say, but I guess either McGirt or Roger...which were actually tougher than usual fights for Pernell.

I dunno, I have a hard time believing that Mayweather would win, I think Pernell's jab is too much and he also goes to the body very effectively...the combo of those two would allow Pernell to land fairly effectively on Mayweather.
altho Mayweather can win rounds for sure, and I would believe it would be very possible that Mayweather could drop Pernell with a right hand...Whitaker got off balance at times due to his style, and would let right hands land on him on occasion and put him down, even if he wasnt really hurt.

Whitaker would win. He punches alot when he needs to, so whatever scenario, Mayweather would be outworked. (Maybe)
