You should have put him in there and took Pavlik out.

So what is the issue? You suggested that Pavliks brilliants finishes was a result of lackluster competition.

No, I can only have one brute force finisher in my top5. It was either Pryor or Chavez, and I personally feel that Pryor was the better finisher of the two.

            Except for Taylor.

Miranda was a good win. But not so good that we can rate Pavlik an all time p4p finisher based on that.

Miranda might go on to lose against nobody's of this world.

The lack of great finishers amongst older fighters is largely an artifact of the reffing style of the times, and a lack of available footage of the fighters.

Since finishing ability is something that you have to see to rank, many of the great finishers of yesteryear get left out simply because footage of them doing it does not exist.
No Jack Dempsey? No Sandy Saddler? Julio Caesar Chavez? No Bob Foster?

I understand peoples hesitance to rank Pavlik as an ATG in any category, but if look at all of the fighters from an objective perspective, he is deserving of it.

Once again, the way he finds the openings, changes the angles, varies the pace, all of it. Its simply beautiful.

Don't get me wrong, Pavlik is a very good finished, the best in the sport today but he shouldn't be in the top 5 all time just yet.

Bob Foster would probably rate as a puncher by this guy's standard.

Saddler has alot of TKO's, so it's difficult for him to write good ol' Sandy off as a one-punch KO artist
