For instance, here in the United Kingdom every single White sports commentator that has said something like that has been sacked and banned from commentating.

At the end of the day, what is a bit of abuse here and there? Abuse from the mouth can never hurt unless you allow yourself to become weak enough to let it.
The thing is, no one goes around calling people "black boy" so its not even close to being the same. White boy is a common term, so i dont see how it can be seen as racist.

lol, its racist because he highlights the difference in colour. To even acknowledge it as part of a negative statement 'I would never lose' is racist.

Doesn't matter if people don't say black boy. There's a reason for that. It's not culturally acceptable to do that, but somehow saying white boy has become acceptable. Regardless, it's still racist.

Lot of people don't care about it in the context of Hopkins and Calzaghe. Really I think people are trying to highlight how it's ok for black people to say 'white boy' , but not vice versa.

The history of slavery in America is not a good enough defense for this, as people should practise what they preach by not using any racist comments, if they want to promote equality for everyone.

He also said "I'll never lose to a white person" though.

        How is that not racist?

The most common anti-black racial slur that I personally know of is "black boy".

Throughout my life I have heard it used several times.

              Infuriated?

Hopkins was the only one who showed anger.

1-0 to Calzaghe as far as I'm concerned.

I'd be pissed to if I got robbed of my historic championship reign the way Hopkins did!

You are desperate to discover his master plan. Let me tell you, he had no plan. He flew off the handle. It's no big deal and we don't hold it much against him, but stop telling us he is some psychological wizard. He's an ignorant but entertaining man. He's inarticulate, temperamental, and betrays an entirely false identity ("where I'm from," etc.). There's nothing "he knew." He's of well below average intelligence, and he's not winning any mind games.
