Got paid the most money to fight lame boring fights and fighters and never really did anthing to be "the man"!!!! I am not hating this is strictly fact, he doesn't fight fights he thinks he can lose but yet trys to convince everyone around him he is the greatest and doesn't need to fight them fighters.

Boxing needs to mandate a "Money Mayweather" rule that you must fight the number one contender and stick to it, there is no way Floyd and Oscar (present day Oscar) should get all the lucritive paydays and never even get into a real fight, Floyd says all roads travel through him and that makes me sick b/c he didn't do **** to get there but beat Oscar, and the Oscar he beat is nowhere near a good fighter!!!!
Even though u speak the truth, get ready to be labled as a "Hater"

i dunno knives, while i would give roy the nod every time i still have to give joe a chance, however unlikely a victory seems, to me he has at the least a chance.

Jones did take some shots in his prime.

Roy Jones vs Toney. The left hook from Toney at 2:30 was a pretty hard shot. Same punch dropped Nunn.

Hopkins vs Jones. Hopkins lands repeated flush right hands when RJJ lays on the ropes.

          Griffin vs Jones
Montell Griffin managed to land many of his wild left hooks

John Ruiz, a heavyweight, landed some right hands on Jones (02:20).

RJJ was never known for his chin but it was good enough in his prime. He was never hit much because of his speed and reflexes.

IMO the weight loss, age and loss of reflexes contributed to those KO losses to Johnson and Tarver. He was putting his chin out, had his hands down and got tagged for it. Now he has changed his style and keeps his hands up.

              Naseem Hamed.

Don't get me wrong i liked watching this bloke fight, he was boxing's entertainer but in his first real acid test, Barrera exposed him and his never recovered from that defeat, shame.

The first real acid test was NOT Barrera. Hamed fought at least a dozen belt holders or top-10 fighters and wiped the floor with most. Losing to Barrera is no shame. He's a 100% gold-clad ATG FFS!

To many to list. In terms of guys who are considered elite , I would say Mosley.

Hear me out, He was a very good at 135. However ,he bombed out weak competition and never got to fight Stevie Johnston. He beat Oscar at 147 and that is it for Mosley. He lost 2x to forrest and wright, and the Oscar rematch was a gift (IMO). Cotto beat him and now is fighting the other guy who is perhaps the other most overrated fighter , Zab Judah. He has fought good competition since his first fight with Oscar but he has lost way more than won.

Panchito Bojado - People were saying he would be better then Both Delahoya and Vargas.

Jeff Lacy - Very 1 dimensional had devastating power but had never fought a real top fighter till he got spanked by Calzaghe.

Diego Corrales - Yes we all love the guy because he would give his heart and soul but he had horrible defense. He went life and death with Justin Juuko,Roberto Garcia before his fight with Floyd which people thought he would win. Later in his career he was getting spanked by Castillo before getting one of the best come from behind Ko's ever. Ended up losing two fights to Casamayor and getting Ko'd by Castillo in the rematch. Love the guy but his wins against Manfredo and Gainer made everyone jump on the bandwagon.
