How high do you rate Castillo at lightweight?

I don't think he had a chance of winning a decision after the two knockdowns. Most people had Castillo ahead after 9, and a 10-7 round would have sealed it surely. Not a huge risk IMO.the ref took a point off though, wat else could he do. A disqualification would have been a travesty. Could u imagine.
Corrales basically said, **** a decision im gonna take a shot at knocking this guy out. A guy that has never previously been knocked down and never hurt and has one of the great chins in the division history... THats a pretty big risk he took...
I am not faulting the referee either. The blame goes to Corrales. Seriously, if someone spits out their mouthpiece to get more time, I think the fight should be stopped, because that tells me that they are not ready to fight after a 10 count, so that is the equivalent of a KO IMO. Obviously Tony Weeks is not supposed to arbitrarily decide this in the middle of a fight, but I do think that rule should go into effect. Either way, I think it was shady by Corrales.Comment

****, you don't even need a calculator. If it isn't one of those "usual" scores:
120-108
119-109
118-110
117-111
116-112
115-113
114-114
Then there has to be an even round or a two point round in there somewhere... it's not that ****ing hard to figure out!Comment

Maybe math isn't their thing. I cannot understand how educated adults would have a hard time doing addition, especially judges that have tabulated the same kind of cards 100s of times.Comment

Well I didn't score Corrales Castillo 1, but if anything Weeks warned him once. Deducted a point and threatned to DQ him and then Corrales made the best comeback of all time.Idk, I thought Castillo had the better of the fight up until the 10th round, and then he scored 2 knockdowns. I am one to give more **** for the mouthpiece thing than most though. I thought that was complete and utter bull**** that Corrales lost it twice, especially when he voluntarily took it out. Ridiculous.
I think it's much more ridiculous that Castillo didn't make weight for the rematch and that possibly made the difference for the 4th round knockout.Comment

Agreed, completely. That's why I didn't include that in my first post, because a junior welterweight in Castillo knocked out a lightweight in Corrales, and I don't think that deserves to be included in a list of lightweight accomplishments for Castillo.Well I didn't score Corrales Castillo 1, but if anything Weeks warned him once. I can't see how Diego Corrales 1 could have gone. Sure their's the mouth piece thing, but that was too damn good of a fight to give a ****.
I'n not sure where he would be, but I'm not gonna say top 5.
1. Roberto Duran
2. Benny Lenoard
3. Shane Mosley
4. Julio Casear Chavez
5. Pernell Whitaker
And that's off what I know, I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of people.
I would definitely put Joe Gans, Alexis Arguello, and Carlos Ortiz ahead of Castillo, among others.Comment
