I can't see how Diego Corrales 1 could have gone. Sure their's the mouth piece thing, but that was too damn good of a fight to give a ****.

I'n not sure where he would be, but I'm not gonna say top 5.

    1. Roberto Duran
    2. Benny Lenoard
    3. Shane Mosley
    4. Julio Casear Chavez
    5. Pernell Whitaker

And that's off what I know, I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of people.

I like Castillo. He trains and has had fights in Mexicali, and I was born in Mexicali.

It depends on what you like. Casamayor I felt lost the second fight with Corrales, the Castillo fight, and the Raiymkulov fights. I don't think you can win a fight when you're on your backfoot punching from the backseat like that. The Corrales fight particularly, Corrales looked beautiful boxing Casamayor's ears off. I thought he won every round until the knockdown. Even then, Corrales held on well and came back strong.

I thought Johnston won the rematch, but he wasn't as aggressive as Castillo. Castillo salvaged a draw on the look he gave the fight more than anything.

By the way, I was thinking to myself, you have had a Kelly Pavlik avatar for so long, that if I ever met you, I think I would seriously be shocked if you didn't look like Kelly Pavlik.
I would have Castillo higher then Mosley at lightweight for sure. He had a much better stint there.

Talent wise Mosley was a better fighter down there for sure, so on an ATG list id have Mosley higher

And i look nothing like Pavlik, my hairline hasnt started receding yet and i have muscle definition

Idk, I thought Castillo had the better of the fight up until the 10th round, and then he scored 2 knockdowns. I am one to give more **** for the mouthpiece thing than most though. I thought that was complete and utter bull**** that Corrales lost it twice, especially when he voluntarily took it out. Ridiculous.

Interesting side note. I believe that Johnston was given the victory for the 2nd Castillo fight, thus regaining his title.

However, later on in the day they found a miscalculation in the add up of one of the scorecards, went into Johnstons lockerroom after the fight, and took back his titles and gave them back to Castillo... THAT has to suck

I also get the feeling that Vernon seems to have a better head on his shoulders than most athletes. He seems very articulate, and actually pretty intelligent in his interviews. He also has a good enough heart to give back to the world by opening that Destiny's Child Inc.

Good guy. Truly one of the athletes in the world to be admired.
My GF is very good friends with him, I'm more on a hi how are you basis with him. We both train at Buddy McGirt's gym in Vero Beach so maybe we'll talk more in the future.

From what I see, Forrest is a nice guy and not how I initially perceived him. Some fighters get a little standoffish close to fight time, so you never know what these guys are like until they're away from camp.

Same thing happened to Mark Johnson after the fight with Rafael Marquez. That has to be heartbreaking.

the ref took a point off though, wat else could he do. A disqualification would have been a travesty. Could u imagine.

Corrales basically said, **** a decision im gonna take a shot at knocking this guy out. A guy that has never previously been knocked down and never hurt and has one of the great chins in the division history... THats a pretty big risk he took...
