I don't think people are counting Hopkins completely out, it's just that most think Calzaghe will win for obvious reasons.

A 43 year old man will usually be the underdog.

You can never count Hopkins out though.

The 43 hasnt been a factor yet, he beat Taylor in many peoples eyes.

except 5 of the 6 who actually mattered, and Calzaghe is on a different planet than Taylor.

Winky and Tarver did not bring activity to the table, Taylor did (and did not bring anything else), Calzaghe will.

Because Hopkins proved in the Tarver, Trinidad and Jones fights that he is someone to take lightly and overlook.

anyway. tired of reiterating why I am picking against a fighter I love.

Luckily I dont mind Calzaghe either.

IF hopkins loses it wouldnt matter to him he'll get good money form the fight put if calzaghe losses he his repution will be up in smoke, so joe calzaghe has more to lose then hopkins so this will make him more determind to win this fight.

Hopkins managed to lose to Taylor, and Calzaghe is twice the fighter Taylor ever was, is or will be.

Why did Bernard lose to Taylor? Because he threw 2 punches per round. What did Taylor do to win? move more, throw more, do more, certainly not outbox or outfight 'Nard.
Why did Bernard beat Winky Wright?
