he's talented no one said otherwise, but after the castillo fights he never fought anybody he wasnt expected to beat. with slight exception of phillip n'dou all the other challenges werent any real threat to his credentials.

what he's doing now is very obvious, he's avoiding fighters that can beat him. not just cotto, but other solid welterweights as well, and there're lots of them. the division is packed with talent and he doesnt take advantage.

was hatton not chosen to beat him? was gatti not a huge puncher for floyd? was de la hoya not too big for him? i mean, other fighters picked these guys to beat floyd. i knew they all would lose, because they are not as smart as he is in the ring, but make no mistake about it, they were threats to him, and to say he didn't have a real challenge with any of these guys is flat out ****** on your part, because they all had aspects to their fight game that made them competitive for him. baldomir was considered as threat because of his iron chin and floyd couldm't hurt him, and his punching power even though he was slow as hell. judah was considered a threat because of his speed and power and southpaw stance but because of his inability to foucs, floyd was deprived of his victory over him, even though zab gave floyd some trouble early. hatton pressured too well. shane, even though he ducked floyd for years as well as oscar, hatton, and cotto, now since cotto is the new man in town, seeing how paul wiliams lost to the guy he dominated, but as much as i want to see floyd fight cotto and he will, trust me, cotto really doesn't have what it takes to beat floyd imo, not at all, because he may be a smart pressure fighter and box well also, but he doesn't have mindset it takes to defeat and fighter that is as fluent as mayweather is, and this is a nig reason why i felt arum didn't put him in with floyd back in 2005, even though cotto came to 2 fights in a row when floyd fought.

Some ppl think cottos jab would beat Mayweather, I'm one of those ppl because Cottos jab looks like it has more of a pop to it in my opinion. So whens cotto/mayweather going to happen? When someone might beat cotto because styles make fights and then Mayweather has an excuse on why not to fight cotto then? It seems like Mayweathers waiting for that, while he takes on easier fights like oscar or hatton which we all know he'll win since he already beat them.

I stopped reading the moment you implied that Gatti was a threat. What a joke...

a joke is what the brother pissing in the public bathroom sees when you walk in and drop your pants to use the urinal next to him.

His reasons for not fighting Cotto are some of the best jokes I've ever heard in my life.
