    Is Floyd Mayweather a Joke?

-The guy is going to be in Wrestlemania fighting a guy who is 2 feet taller and weighs 400 lbs. more than him.

-He's going to rematch a washed up DLH in a fight that no one is demanding.

-He's considering going to the UK to fight Hatton again when the first fight was a lopsided ass whipping.

Floyd Mayweather is a joke. I can't take this guy seriously as a person, as a celebrity, and especially as a fighter.

The best part of it is that a lot of his old fans are starting to feel the same way, but yes he is a joke, he's completely out of line making a fool out of himself and damaging the sport in the process.

I'm one of those old fans.

I don't mind the whole Big Show thing- that's exposure for boxing. But when you're re-matching DLH AND Hatton? That's just shameful...

The man himself is not joke. However, his behavior is another matter all together.

But when he's being asked about boxing and his replies are that boxing it's on his review mirror, that he's considering leaving boxing for Wresling and **** like that he's really just taking a **** on the sport that gave him everything he has now, that to me is a joke, and please don't say it's all a publicity stun because that is BS, he's only in for the money and nothing else. I'm sorry man.

It's true - Mayweather is becoming the laughing stock of boxing. With the DLH rematch, and now a Hatton rematch...

He refuses to take a fight where there's any risk at all.

I'm not going to call the best fighter in the world a joke. However, if he really does go directly from a DLH rematch to a Hatton rematch, I'll have to reconsider that.

Yeah, it's a slap in the face to boxing and the fans the way he treats the sport that made him rich. He's talking about leaving boxing for wrestling. Is there a bigger step down an athlete can take than to get involved with wrestling? He talks about being the greatest fighter ever when he's far from it and hasn't come close to proving it. He talks about giving the fans what they want, but when all he hears is mention of guys like Cotto, Margarito, etc. he doesn't want to talk about it. I completely lost any respect for this man the moment I heard they're considering a rematch with Hatton. If no one wants to see a close, boring rematch with DLH then why the **** would anyone want to see a rematch of a lopsided ass whipping?

I've gotta go with No. Floyd has whupped every man he's faced, many of whom were highly respected fighters, he's got one hell of a resume, and he's supremely talented, too. Love him or hate him, it's tough to deny the man is a superb boxer, and who in a fight would be a favorite to beat him in/or around his weight class???
