I scored the fight 115-113 Verno Phillips. Cory was slow and plodding, and his foot work just wasn't the same as previous fights. Spinks just didn't land enough punches, Verno outworked him. I was amazed Verno was able to hit Spinks as he lunged in. Cory's reflexes just aren't the same, the trainer change looks to have affected him.

Spinks was staying in with phillips.....throwin combos 1 2's and all night landing them cleanly....phillips would jump in and miss..he did land a few big shots in rounds 9 and 10 and i generously gave phillips round 9...absolute robbery
