I don't mean he doesn't have heart or desire, I'm just saying Pacquiao has found ways to win when he's seemingly in with better fighters.

Completely untrue. Pacquaio has fought nothing but past their prime legends and fringe contenders. With Guzman's skill set, caliber and unbeaten record, he would be hands down the best fighter that Manny has faced. Morales was past his prime, Marquez was in his prime when they fought to a draw the fight time and Manny didn't beat him, Barrera was past his prime and so was Oscar Larios. Guzman has beaten everyone that he has faced and convincingly at that.

You trippin boy.... Barrera was past his prime??? He was the #3lb for lb fighter in the world when they fought. Marquez has seen less wars than Pacquiao and the version of Marquez that showed up in the rematch against Pacquiao was the best version of Marquez EVER in his entire career. Dude took punches that would destroy anybody. He was faster and sharper than I've ever seen him. Morales you can make an argument for but he was 29. The same age as Pac now who with his face first style has been in plenty wars as well.. You don't hear anyone calling Pac past his prime do you? Dude get your head straight and stop with that one sided bull ****...

I think that Edwin Valero is like Michael Katsidis. When they step up to the big man champ. It's over.

this 'past his prime' is way overused and wrongfully most times. past his prime is when ali fought holmes, louis fought rocky. but to say these guys that pac beat are easy prey is just plain ******. marquez cant even beat mab easily, a lot of ppl thought mab won. erik gave diaz the fight of his life, even knocking down the bigger diaz after his trilogy w/ pac. i'd give it to you that erik looked past it in the 3rd fight but the first two weren't. and you forgot pac beat mab to a pulp back in 03 when mab was still in prime.

If you think that Barrera was in his prime when they fought either of times then you are borderline insane and nothing more than laughable. At the times that he fought Pacquaio, he had already had wars with Hammed, Junior Jones, McKinney, and the 3 fight trilogy with Eric Morales and he wasn't past this best? I don't give a damn where he was ranked. Ali was ranked at the top 10 when he fought Larry Holmes but does that mean that he was still in his prime? Marquez was past his prime but was still a good champion and that was a legit win. But that doesn't take away from the fact that he has slowed down quite a bit and doesn't have the same reflexes as when they met the first time. Guzman is an unbeaten champion with Floyd Mayweather like skills and i see him beating Pacquaio. He would simply slip and counter everything that he would throw and master that straight left hand. He would be the biggest threat and Pacquaio has already made it clear that he doesn't want to fight him.

How is lb for lb Barrera past his prime? At 34 Marquez has reached the pinnacle of his pontential as a fighter physically, mentally I have never seen Marquez like this in his career. Even Marquez admits he has never felt better or younger; even out running much younger stable mates during his road work. To use the 'Barrera was past his prime' excuse, come on man your going overboard and wearing it out. At least use the forest fires, metal plate in the head excuse. I think that was the correct one that was being used at that time.
