Valero is too open to counters. JMM and Pacquiao would pick him apart with shots down the middle, Valero would always have a punchers' chance though. Guzman probably has better skills than Pacquiao but he hasn't been made to dig deep within himself to win a fight yet, he needs a top level opponent to prove that he can do that.

personally i like Valero but i think he gets his ass kicked big time when he fights a top lever fighter. he seems far to open to me. but they gotta get to him i suppose before he knocks them the **** out.

I saw one fight where Valero kept his chin in the sky all 12 rounds. He's been fighting very suspect competition. His volume and heart aren't questionable but that's not always the deciding factor, especially against skilled/tested fighters. Guzman is the real man at junior lightweight now.. other than JMM if JMM chooses to stay down there.

Also, for a guy like Pac.. Fightign Valero is a risk. If he hits Valero's head wrong and kills him or scrambles his brain or somethign. That will take a lot of the shine away from pac's marquee name. It really hurt Boom boom after he killed the Korean, and I'm sure Arum would not be pleased if a similar situation unfolded for his fighter.
