Cortez terribly biased refereeing in the Hatton fight indicated he doesn't like British fighters. He'll let Hopkins get away with his sneaky headbutts and other dirty stuff, while deducting a point or two from Joe for no good reason. We may have an early stoppage in Hopkin's favor.
Wow. You conclude that after seeing him ref one British fight. Like its Cortez's second time reffing a British fighter.haha. He's been a ref for more then 20 years, I'm sure he didnt "screw" over all British fighters he reffed now.

Hopefully Cortez has a better night than he had on December 8th.

        obviously not.

Calzaghe throws alot of in-tight punches. They can appear to be slaps. If he calls Joe for slapping then he is ****ed.

Like he had preconcieved ideas about Hattons clinching and nailed him for it.

I just think Frank Warren is not that ******, Joe is well looked after.

Also, for all we know Cortez could have been influenced by a higher power to pay extra close attention to Hatton based on his previous fights.

I personally think it's possible that Cortez is being brought it because of Hopkins rough tactics which can't be a good thing for him.

you mean game 5? that was terrible. but you know what? there are 6 other games in a series. i stand by what i said. refs suck in all sports. but you need to find a way win regardless of the situation. bottom line, it's up to the players to put the rock in the basket.
