i dunno, amir khan is already rich as **** and he has hardly even fought out of his hometown, never mind country.

i dont know about khan's bank account, quite possibly, but i was always under the impression that a fighter could always do a little better for himself by fighting in places like Vegas, Jersey, Or NYC Madison Square Garden, those types of places. guys who are fighting out of meximo are better of coming to States, because it's already packed with a lot of mexican die hard fans who pay good money. the checks is the main reason why most of these eastern europeans make the transition, and show desire to fight in US. HBO, Showtime, all these networks are a place to be to make yourself into a big colossal money draw.

but also if you have 2 mega superstars fighting out of the same country, you could land it in your hometown and have one of the networks come in and televise it overseas like they do anyway.

A lot of fighters can make good money without stepping foot in the US.

There's also the fact that not all foreign fighters are likely to generate interest in America. It's not surprising that the Americans wanted to see Naseem Hamed because he said controversial things and had an exciting style with a big punch. But I can't see America going wild over Abraham vs El**** or something like that.

Apparently Abraham is fighting on the Pavlik-Lockett undercard, so they seem to working towards a unification bout at some point.
