More than 1,000 boxing fans were in attendance today when King Arthur Abraham and Elvin Ayala participated in an open training session ahead of their IBF middleweight title clash in Kiel on Saturday night. "I am in great shape and I will win," the unbeaten 28-year-old champion (25-0, 20 KOs) said. After a slow start, King Arthur, who will make his seventh title defence, gave the crowd a first-hand look at his punching power. "It always takes some time for him to get going," coach Ulli Wegner said with a smile. Before the champion proved his class, Ayala was in the ring, showing his hand speed and mobility. "I will definitely win," the 27-year-old (18-2, 8 KOs) said. "I have practiced very hard and can´t wait to get into the ring. I am really looking forward to Saturday." Also in action were WBA Fedelatin/WBC Latino cruiserweight champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez (14-0, 8 KOs), who will come face-to-face with Wayne Braithwaite (22-3, 18 KOs), and First Lady Cecilia Braekhus (5-0, 2 KOs).
