People who's first fights make you wonder...

How the **** you stuck with the sport? I mean the people who watched their first boxing match, and it was one that was horribly unexciting.

My first fight I ever watched was Roy Jones Jr. UD12 Bernard Hopkins. An insanely good clash of talent (which no one knew back then), but REALLY short on the excitement factor.

Anyone else have boxing deflowering horror stories?

I must admit I wasn't a fan of boxing untill I forced myself to watch videos of Calzaghe fighting and then I watched videos of Hopkins etc. They bored me at first but something clicked after a while, quite strange.

My first fight was Jones-Toney, although not the most exciting fight ever it was a damn good watch and all I wanted to know was who Roy Jones was and how many times can I see him fight.

So the two fighters that made you start watching boxing are facing off. How does that make you feel?

i have been watching boxing for a while...i used to watch it when it was on and would just know guys like vargas, dlh, tyson etc. basically the extremely mainstream guys.

but my first fight....that was forrest - mosley 1. i remember looking at both records...both guys were undefeated.

Shane had these sweet american trunks and looked like a killer. he was big as **** and was rated as one of the top p4p fighters of the sport.

i remember lampley mentioning the fact that forrest beat him in the amateurs and was thinking "mosley is going to whoop this fool's ass"
