400 and a gold medal. Oh yeah it does look like Ramirez pulled out. Probably saw some vids on youtube and decided to go elsewhere. Two months until the fight, hopefully they find a sufficient replacement.

ok ur jus nuts please dont use the past prime washed up mike tyson crap mike never had stamina trouble intill he was washed up then basically taking punishment in that part of his career.
Gamboa has all the edges speed, power, stamina but hes not the best at defense and hes already been down once which was a slip granted but how is his chin ? hmmm

So far in his career, his 10 opponents record combined is 171-29-6,i think its pretty easy to see he HAS been in against better boxers to see how good he is,name me active fighters today whos first 10 opponents have records like that

I don't know where people get this crap that Gamboa doesn't have good defense. He moves his head beautifully. Granted, he likes to keep his hands low, but he does bring them up to block punches, and his slipping is textbook.

**** what a match that would be.

edit: Wait Chirs John vs Gamboa? John is at featherweight and I doubt he would be willing to move up.
I know quite a few of Gamboa's fight have been close to the SFW division, but I think he's going to be fighting at FW for now. Plus Ramirez who was supposed to be his opponent was ranked #2 by the WBO at FW.

Huh?? hes pretty sick at defense, his hands are way low,but hes never been caught with a solid shot, never, and i agree,it was a slip,i couldent beleave the ref called it a KD

Gamboa has reflexes,he can see nearly every punch coming, thats a talent your born with,i mean, look at this video

Thats one of the best displays of hands down defense boxing ive seen,Gamboa has great reflexes, and could keep his hands up if he wanted to.

And u keep saying u wanna see his chin tested, hes been in against opponents that could test it,but half of them couldent find him, just imagine Gamboa fought bums in his first 15 fights,he would have 15 wins with 15 first round KOs,hes fought great opposition and hasnt been hurt once and has KO'd 8 outa 9

He should be fighting Rocky Juraez/Jorge Barrios insted of them fighting each other. That would be a MAJOR step up, but I think he could beat them. Or atleast Rocky anyway.
