Yuriorkis Gamboa in INTENSE training for HBO debut

    *********.com

Unbeaten super featherweight sensation Yuriorkis Gamboa (9-0, 8 KOs) puts on a display of strength under the watchful eye of his strength and conditioning coach Moritz Klatten as he does chin ups with 90 pounds of weights attached to his lower body. The feat is amazing considering Gamboa fights at 130 pounds. Gamboa is in intense training for his May 17th HBO debut against fellow unbeaten and WBO #2 Ranked Marcos Ramirez (25-0, 16 KOS). Gamboa opened eyes in his U.S. television debut back in February as he brutally knocked out Johnny Edwards in one round on ESPN2 to win the NABF super featherweight title

Man,his next opponent is 25-0 with 16KOs,Gamboa doesnt want no easy options, hardly any fighter today has had this great opposition in there first 10 fights

Something i recognised about Gamboas opponent is out of his 25 fights,3 have come by the way of DQ,his last fight was against Adailton De Jesus (Who Gamboa knocked out) And Dejesus was warned 5 times, and had points deducted for lowblows, something tells me Ramirez plays up to lowblows, something Gamboa has got to watch out for

Gamboa should be champ by his 14th fight. He is already experienced all he needs is the bouts to put him in his position. Now THIS is someone I don't think is getting pushed to fast.

Gamboa is HUGE for his weight, physically hes built like Mike Tyson, even looks like him,but fights like a prime Roy Jones and has laser beam speed, one of the fastest boxers in the sport today

He might get a title shot before the year is over. It is only March and he is facing a top ranked fighter and if he wins impressively he could get ranked pretty highly himself.

If he knocks out or totaly dominates Marcos Ramirez,i think hes ready for the title, hes had like over 300 amateur fights,so he knows what hes doing in the ring, hes a very smart fighter,he keeps his hands completely low,but hardly ever gets touched,i think he could win a fight by using just his perfect reflexes, but if he needed to,he could make adjustments,Cuban fighters are way too talented, its a shame more cant become pro's

Alot of their fighters were born strictly to box. Gamboa is incredibly talented and I am wondering who will give him his first shot. Oh **** just imagine Gamboa vs Linares

just by appearance wise, i think he probably has stamina problems in the later rounds if the boxer he is fighting is smart and tries to wear him down. Being huge like that is pointless in boxing, muscle tires easily in later rounds. You're right he is built like mike tyson, and did you notice how mike tyson won his first round against lennox lewis, but lennox lewis broke him down the rest of the fight and ended up stopping tyson?
