From what I have seen, which ill admit isnt much, Gamboa is the truth. With that said Manny and JMM better make their way to 135, cuz this guy is coming up quick. Id love to see Gamboa and Valero go toe to toe.

        Ramirez backed out. Smart guy.

Hopefully, we're not stuck with some scrub facing Gamboa.

I think so to if Gamboa wins this next fight in spectacular fashion he should be ready for a title shot. He was gonna fight Jose Rojas on Shobox who actually had a draw with Chris John, but I guess the deal with Shaw nullified that. Either way facing a guy like Ramirez in his 10th pro fight is something you don't see too often. At the same time it's not like Gamboa is new to the fight game with all his amatuer fights and internation experience.

appearances can be decieving, i just saw one of his fights on youtube. This guy is pretty good... But I need to see him against better boxers fight before making a final judgement

It would be a shame if John didn't accept. Then we would really know that the guy has no interest in fighting the best.

You're right he is built like mike tyson, and did you notice how mike tyson won his first round against lennox lewis, but lennox lewis broke him down the rest of the fight and ended up stopping tyson?
Gamboa doesnt fight like Mike, hes a quick and slick fighter,i hugely doubt he will have stamina problems,he uses alot of energy, but knows how to settle down, shown in the DeJesus fight

I dont think Gamboa lifts weights for his upper body, its hard training, hes just very well built for a superfeather, come to think of it i dont think hes BUILT too much like Mike,he looks like him tough,id compare his build to David Hayes,David has a great build for a Cruiserweight,Gamboas for a superfeather is similar

over 250 amateur fights and an Olympic Gold medal, he is the real deal.

Man if Gamboa becomes the 2 spot for the WBO, then Guzman beats Arthur...that makes Guzman vs Gamboa!!!

**** what a match that would be.

edit: Wait Chirs John vs Gamboa? John is at featherweight and I doubt he would be willing to move up.
