I'd like you to bear that in mind when/if Hatton fights Paulie Malignaggi at the MSG.

            The place will be packed!

Sorry, all of those examples you listed you mentioned aren't mainstream "media".

              You mentioned 4 things:

              1. Boxing Forums.

The last time online boxing forums weren't a medium of of "mainstream" media.

              2. ESPN appearances

ESPN having 30 seconds of filler, about Miguel Cotto doesn't quite cut it. ****, ESPN airs Bowling. Does that mean Bowling is boxing the new fad?

              3. Spanish TV

Whoopy doo. doesn't change a thing. Now if Cotto had his own show on Spanish TV. Just because there might be a few plugs on a Spanish network about Cotto here and there means ****.

              4. Madison Square Garden

There are hundreds of events at Madison Square Garden every year, the majority of them barely breaking any national newspaper.

Talk to me when you see Miguel Cotto's name not in the sports section. Then you might actually have an argument.

k next time he fights and he makes the review journal again I will post it for you

                ESPN not mainstream alright..

Spanish TV might not be nothing to you but it gives fighters a lot of exposure to Latin fans and gets them well recognised.

Did I say that? You're twisting my words. Usually the sign of a desperate man.

ESPN is a huge network, there's no denying that.

But I don't see any ESPN specials about Miguel Cotto. Just because they mentioned his name once in a 3 minute segment on boxing, simply doesn't qualify as "MAINSTREAM EXPOSURE"

ESPN airs bowling, pool, gymnastics, dirt rally racing, etc. Does that mean any of those sports are considered mainstream?

damn son.. you will go to all measures to hate.
It's cool.. It must make you bitter knowing that Cotto is starting to accomplish more then Mayweather did in the same time span.
I highly doubt I will know you in six years but when it comes and Miguel is a much bigger star.. just picture me pointing my finger at you and going

How am I hating? I like Miguel Cotto as a boxer. Cotto may very well pass Mayweather in terms of accomplishments in the boxing ring, that has yet to be seen. But what the does that have to do with our discussion?

You said Cotto was getting mainstream exposure, and I simply proved you wrong. And now you're switching arguments, because you've ran out of rebuttals. It is what you call a fallacious argument.
