I take it back. I just read an interview with Arum and he said he has no plans for Pavlik to fight Winky at all for the remainder of the year but he did say never say never.
Say what you will about Winky Wright- he knows how to make a fighter look bad unless they are of the very elite. I think at Kelly's current level Wright could, even if he lost, diminish some of the steam that Pavlik has. His team isn't going to want to destroy his momentum when the fans will let him take an easier fight and gobble up a good K.O. with a ****** grin on their face. So....no. I doubt Kelly with fight Winky.
Winky should at minimum go out there and fight a couple stay busy fights. As it stands he does not deserve a shot.
He is sitting on his ass expecting a shot at Pavlik while other guys are at least fighting and earning a crack at him.
He has talented as hell, but has the superstar mentality. He is not a superstar. Although he has paid his dues, he is still coming off a loss and long layoff.

Well, unless Kelly fights another champion I'm going to go ahead and say Winky is as viable an option as anyone. I mean, some still consider him a pound for pound fighter- even if that's a stretch- and, overall, he may have lost his last fight but it was to pound for pound fighter Bernard Hopkins. I mean come on...Winky DID get a draw to the former undisputed middleweight champion of the world, right? That gives him SOME claim.
