Very bad second paragraph in the article. The writer uses the words: "national treasure" twice. Comes across as amatuerish journalism. Didn't he learn in school you dont use the same discription twice?

overall stats are misleading and you should be intelligent enough to know this. judges score per round and if you get the stats PER round (why didnt you incude this?), you'll see that pac won more rounds, plus a knockdown to boot.
it's like if jmm threw 100 and pac 20 in round 1. then the next 11 rounds pac edge jmm by 10 to 5, thereby winning the next 11. the total stats would be155 jmm 130 pac. jmm would have won base only on stats but in reality pac won 11 rds to 1.

forget the rest of the article, the part that intrigued me the most is saying that since Manny will move up in weight, Marquez is #1, Joan Guzman is #2, a fight between them is only logical and would crown the winner the title holder. Now that's dope!

DLH shouldn't have bought the Ring Mag.
It really lost its independence once one of the big players took a slice of its cake.
Just too darn bad.

I don't know why there are a bunch of sore losers. The punch stats don't mean ****, because it goes by rounds won. Pac-man won 7-5 rounds and had the knockdown which gave him three points ahead 115-112. Even if it was 6 rounds split, Pacquiao had the knockdown, and it would be 114-113. Marquez lands 15 more punches, WOW! That was close stats. Outboxed would be 170 to 80 like lueveno/jandaeng. Look at the punches thrown. Pacquiao threw half 108 more and if you actually watched the fight, he was the agressor and was pushing the pace the whole time. Most judges will score for the agressor and especially when he is landing the harder shots. If Marquez wants the rematch, claim 130lb supremacy and chase Pacquiao at 135lb.Last edited by eternal_gamer; 03-18-2008, 01:58 PM.
