So Who Has Earned a Shot at Floyd Mayweather?

I am a big Mayweather fan, he is my favourite active fighter. I gotta say that i would like to see the De La Hoya rematch as the fight was close(ish). However, i think that their rematch should be in May then a fight with Cotto later this year. Or at least rematch Oscar in September, allowing Cotto to beat Gomez and Marg/Cint (so he is more popular) then Cotto/May in like Febuarary or March 09. Thats at a push though.

If Floyd would've chosen to rematch Oscar in May, then said that he was interested in a showdown with Cotto, given Cotto gets passed Gomez and the winner of Cintron/Margarito, then i dont think us fans would'nt of had much of a problem with that. The thing is, everytime Cotto's name is mentioned to Floyd, he either totally ingores the question, or comes up with some off the wall excuse about how Cotto isnt worthy for some reason.

im pretty sure they'd oblige to fighting in vegas.i'm telling you,he knows something.that's why he won't fight,all those times he made cotto wait to get in the gym,he knows what's coming to em.

I think if Cotto beats a top PRIME welterweight then he will have earned a shot. He beat Judah and Mosley which shows skill, but he needs to beat Cintron or Margarito this year, Whoever wins that littl etournement has earned a shot. they are all established and the guy who wins will have beat a top 10 welter. So Floyd has no excuse then imo

Basically, they want Cotto to do Floyd's job and clear out the WW division before he could get a shot at the title and crown. Meanwhile all Floyd had to do was beat Baldomir in order to claim supremecy at WW.
