    OK?
I agree with that, but in all fairness the Cotto-Floyd or Margarito-Floyd fight should of happened by now.

So Floyd has no excuse then imo
I have Cotto's win over Quintana, rated higher than if he were to beat Margarito (who barely beat Clottey, and lost to Williams), and Cintron (Who lost against Margo and cried his eyes out, and struggled against Feliciano).

What's the fight everyone and their mother wants to see on this board? This is pointless man...

Cotto is the obvious answer. Margarito or Cintron don't have that star power Cotto is coming into and that's what Floyd wants financially.

          Here's the scenerio:

          Cotto > Gomez
          Cotto > Margarito vs Cintron
Cotto > Mosley rematch or Mayorga?

After that, Floyd will have no choice but to fight Cotto. The demand will be at an all time high.

2009 will be the year our dreams come true.

Yes, that win is a good win but that only came to light recently. I forgot about Mr Quintana, he is actually a viable option for Floyd in a way (although he isnt as deserving as cotto) after his very good win over highly rated Paul Williams. I think the most deserving people (currently) are Cotto and Quintana.

Margarito lost to Williams and Quintana beat Willams, that is not hard to understand.

Cotto has a win over Quintana (although it was a while back now i think), Judah who is highly rated but Baldo beat him lol. I think his stand out win is Mosley who is highly rated and while not in his prime was still good.

Overall I say Floyd should fight Cotto next. Unless Marg, Cint or (god forbid) Gomez beat him.

Anyone who DOESNT want to see Cotto/Floyd ASAP, is either an obsessed Floydboys, who would rather watch Floyd rematch Oscar and Hatton for the next two years, because they are sure wins, or obsessed Floydboys who care more about Floyd's health and finances, more than even Floyd does. As a REAL fans of the sport, there is no reason why u would Floyd to fight anyone else other than Cotto this year.

any of the major belt holders should be able to get a fight at welter with floyd, or have a mini tourny among cotto, cintron, quintana, and the winner fights floyd. if you feel cotto has not earned it, how has oscar earned it??????????

I am a big Mayweather fan, he is my favourite active fighter. I gotta say that i would like to see the De La Hoya rematch as the fight was close(ish). However, i think that their rematch should be in May then a fight with Cotto later this year. Or at least rematch Oscar in September, allowing Cotto to beat Gomez and Marg/Cint (so he is more popular) then Cotto/May in like Febuarary or March 09. Thats at a push though.
