Not them...their management/promoters. There's so little money in unification at that weight that two sanc fees make those fights difficult. Solis has shown...he'll fight anyone. I got my fingers crossed.

I do believe Mayweather keeps a slim, fading grip on the sole possesion of the top spot. But should Pacquiao become undisputed lightweight champ by year's end or early 09 it would make him the only fighter in boxing history to win lineal titles in 4 weight classes, putting him in a class all his own. Only if that happens should Pacquiao deservedly be placed and kept at the top of the mountain until the day he retires...and never give it back to mayweather unless he somehow climbs to middleweight and claims the lineal title there.

Mijares win over Navarro was a huge win cause Navarro has been robbed before and has alway been in very tight matchs and he still gave Mijares all he could handle but Mijares deservedly won. Mijares is a future star and no doubt the 115 pound class is deep!

Donaire-Mijares could be VERY good.
I honestly think that at the higher weight, Calderon's speed and reflexes would be magnified. It would equalize the advantage of size that Mijares has.

And honestly, Calderon has fished for fights against Solis and Sosa.. to no avail. He shouldn't lose a spot if it's the promoters who are rejecting him.

I dunno...I think Mijares is at least as fast at 15 as Calderon at 08 anbd the extra lbs. could take a split off Ivan's best stuff. It would be an interesting fight.
