    As a spectacle. It varies.
thats true, im sure its a great atmosphere, and he's not hurting for money, but to be recognized as one of the best you fight in the states and everybody knows that including boxers. Is it fair, probably not, but thats just the way it is.

Like when AMERICA took Alis WORLD title away?

Why does AMERICA think it has the ****ing rule over all of the WORLD boxing? Fair enough, its big has big arenas an the big fights etc but to say a champ is only good if he has fought there if ****ing ******.

I will admitt that it you ALWAYS get gift decisions by not leaving a place (Sven Ottke) then OK but Calzaghe has deserved all his wins so did Hatton etc

I can admitt they did not fight top elite fighters in their prime and best possible position but they fought good fighters while America seems to be basing resumes on names not fighters. Rant over. My opinion, say what you want.
No not because of that...it was because he won a VACANT belt and didn't fight another belt holder or untill he defeated Lacey. He also only fought one undefeated contender until he fought Lacey. Lacey was the FIRST Titlist that Joe fought and it took him nearly 40 fights to finally do it.

You talk about Joe getting no respect because he's a Brit but Hopkins got ****ted on worse and he was fighting Glen Johnson, RJJ, Echols, even unified two belts against Holmes but he didn't get any love till he fought Tito. Hmmm, last time I check Hopkins was American. This woes me I get no respect just because I'm a Brit is BS and unsubstantiated.
