If Margarito is an easy fight, why turn down $8 million to avoid him in 2005 and early 2006? Also, are you trying to say Clottey and Mayweather fight alike?
Are you dense? Size and weight are 2 different things.

Even though he is bigger then Hatton, he doesn't have his none stop pressure. Floyd all day for 12 straight rounds.
what is the weekness that margarito showed against clottey?
paul williams is taller and has a longer reach than margarito so of course it's not going to be that easy to pressure him and it didn't really look like that was margarito's game plan.hattons a bum he has non stop pressure with no defense and no boxing skills whatsoever

        1. You're stretching it. We're not talking heavyweights. We're talking welterweight...two guys at 147. A 5'10 fighter in Quintana defeated a 6'2 figher in Williams because he simply has better boxing skills. The same applies to a Floyd/Margarito comparison.

        2. He turned down the 8mill because he went for the real, linear, Ring Magazine and WBC welterweight championship of the world for the same amount of money. Pretty simple actually.

        3. No if you have paid attention, I said that Clottey countered Margarito's socks off in the early rounds. I'm saying Floyd is a better counter puncher and has more skills then Clottey. Unlike Joshua, he wouldn't fold, and would finish the job.

delahoya is not faster than williams.oscar likes to stand in the middle of the ring and box while looking for the counter left hook but he couldn't do that against floyd because he knew floyd would put the beats on him so instead he tried to pressure floyd but he was to scared of getting counterd so he waited till floyd had his back to the ropes to open up.margarito is a pressure fighter so he will be more comfortable fighting that kind of a fight.

I stopped reading right there. Your first sentence and you're already making inaccurate statements.

didn't margarito have an ankle injury coming in to that fight?

Just look at Cotto's last three opponents, I think he has the most right to fight Mayweather. There's no other logicall choices. Cotto has fought the best, better then any other welter, including mayweather.

You are comparing Quintana, a natural welterweight, to Mayweather, a natural jr. lightweight. It is a huge difference. They could be the same height, but they have very different body compositions and for that reason the size advantages become even more pronounced. Mayweather simply does not have the overall strength to deal with the big welterweights. Yeah, the fight is winnable if it's at a distance but guys like Margarito and Cotto are going to be bullying him around and stay right in his face. Mayweather is not equipped for those type of fights at welterweight. Hell, he struggled with Castillo's bullying tactics at 135 and they're roughly the same size.

                      2. He turned down the 8mill because he went for the real, linear, Ring Magazine and WBC welterweight championship of the world for the same amount of money. Pretty simple actually.
As everyone knows, Mayweather turned down $8 million to fight Sharmba Mitchell in 2005 and Judah in 2006 for nowhere near the same. Why is that so hard for you to understand? The link to the story has been posted by Viva Mexico and I can find it if your memory needs refreshing.

Again, Clottey is a natural welterweight with more power. You think Margarito would be fazed at all by Mayweather's power? Be serious. Look at the fighters that Mayweather has avoided at welterweight (Cotto and Margarito) and look at the guys he's been willing to fight (Judah, Baldomir, Hatton, and DLH). Can you see the difference? Cotto and Margarito possess all three of the things Mayweather can't deal with. All the others possess one or two at most.
