He would break Oscar's body and either make him quit or stop him.

How can you say that when Cotto has never fought at 154. At 147 might be a different story. Believe it or not... Those couple of pounds plays a difference. We dont know how he would react to punches at 154 nor do we know how Cotto it will affect his speed at that weight. So that is why I would give Oscar the edge. As far as skills go... Oscar is a very talented boxer and that another reason while I give the edge to Oscar at 154.

It is all about Momentum. Cotto is currently an active fighter with bad intentions on top of it. Oscar is basically over the hill and you really have to question his heart at this point as he seems only interested in fighting much smaller guys annually or semi-annually (kinda like Floyd). If this fight happened a couple years ago, I would have favored Oscar, right now though, Cotto is riding a wave and even taking the 154lb's into consideration, would wear Oscar out.

I am also at a complete loss of all these people against a Floyd/Cotto fight. Anyone against that fight is not a fan of the sport, but a fan of Mayweather. To say Cotto does not deserve a shot is such an incredibly inane argument. There is nobody more deserving than Cotto right now. Any fan of the sport would want this to happen, instead of digging up excuses as to why it should not. Do I think Cotta can beat him? I am not sure about that. I do know he deserves the chance. Anyone who claims he does not deserve a chance needs to release their lips from Mayweather's pole and step back and take a look at the big picture.

          This Rant is over...

For the record I'm with you on the Mayweather vs Cotto thing. **** Oscar\ Mayweather II. I'm not about to buy that bull****.(I'm a fan of Maywether)

I agree with some of your points...but Oscar does have a some more in the tank. The reason why I said Oscar would beat Cotto is because Oscar showed he could actully box when he fought the slick Mayweather. He was putting together some nice combos and showed he could be agreesive while covering up. ( not taking unneccesay shots)

I guese we're on different boats when it comes to Oscar and Cotto. I respect the points you made though.

Floyd uses his opponents star power in order to pull in big ppv numbers. He has no big following. If he did, why do u claim that he is waiting for Cotto to become a SUPERSTAR b4 Floyd agrees to fight him? If Floyd was such a draw, he should be able to pull in big numbers on his name alone. Right?

I also see where you are coming from. Oscar might have some left, but with each passing day, his "ring age" gets older than Floyd's. I think he could have won their first fight, but he showed so much unwillingness to take risks. To beat Mayweather, who is so freakishly skilled, you need to take some risks and try to knock Mayweather off his game. To beat Floyd you need a guy who is big, powerful brutish and smart enough to know when to show respect and also have the ability to put Floyd into a defensive shell when necessary. To me the only person who may be able to so something like that at this point is Cotto. Floyd cannot be outsmarted in the ring, he needs someone to show him different angles of laying off when necessary and brutalize him at other times.

If someone goes in there against floyd, and has only one avenue of attack, he will figure them out and use that against them (Hatton). Cotto against Mosely showed the ability to evolve during a fight. That is a sign of great fighter on the rise.

350,000 with Judah & 425,000 with Baldomir is pretty damn good considering exciting fighters like Pacman & COTTO don't draw those kind of numbers no matter who's on the B-side! Floyd Mayweather Jr is a SUPER-STAR! Dancing with the Stars, MTV Cribs, NBA All-Star Game, & This WWE Stint, has increased Floyd's marketability! I'll repeat outside of hardcore & SOME casual fans NO ONE KNOWS WHO MIGUEL COTTO IS!!! This is the fight that NEEDS to happen, but give it some time to "brew"...
