I just watched it. He clearly said "I'm retiring. I've proved everything blah blah blah"

You know how he is. He basically said:

- I whooped his ass
"Why was it a spilt decision then"
- It's GBP, anything can happen
"Why wasn't is a massacare"
- We gave a hell of a fight etc (gave basically no answer)
"You said you are retiring after this fight, this true"
- Yes, I've proved everything etc.)
"So many good fights at welter, why retire now"
-I have nothing else to prove. I'm happy. I have children. I'm a champion. blah blah blah

Thank you. Thats all you needed to say. Everyone will agree that Oscar would need to fight and BEAT Floyd to help his legacy. Everyone will agree that Floyd needs to beat the second best fighter in HIS division to help HIS legacy because Cotto means more to Floyd NOW than ODLH for the simple fact that he already beat DLH. If you are a boxer who wants to fight the best, Mayweather holds the same power as Oscar. He could offer a fight to any top welter and they would take it because they want to fight the best. And in a scenario where Floyd offered the fight, how could Oscar refuse?!?!??

Mayweather is MORE, if not TOTALLY to blame for this. I actually dont even care that much because I think DLH was robbed the first time, so meh, rematch is sort of warranted. But I'm not going to let you guys shift the blame.

This thread was targeted at people who were willing to defend Oscar to the end while bashing Floyd.

This is where you are wrong. After Roy Jones lost to Tarver, Tarver said that he would give him a rematch but Roy will have be willing to negotiate and take a lesser percentage of the money because he isn't the man anymore.

Roy really wanted revenge and therefore he took the lesser money for the third fight.

Now with Oscar, it's all about money with him. He didn't wanna give up anything for another shot at Mosley. He is a ***** for that as well.

Floyd for this rematch, turned down a May fight because he said he wants to take a break. I don't know how much money he is getting BUT he isn't letting Oscar call all the shots BUT clearly he is taking the biggest money fight possible which Cotto would do as well.

All roads lead to the Cashcow Oscar whether you believe it or not. He claims that Golden Boy Promotions will do better business then Don King or Bob Arum yet he put up the worst undercard for The World Awaits.
