Oscar Delahoya is a *****

I'm not defending Mayweather, I'm attacking Oscar. The general opinion is that ALL the blame is on Floyd for being a *****, ducker, ****er, coward, etc,.If you defend Mayweather for taking the biggest payday available to him then in order to be consistent you must also defend De La Hoya for doing the same. So either you defend the right of both fighters to choose the biggest payday or accept that you are a hypocrite. Either way, your argument falls down.
So no, I'm not a hypocrite, the ones who defend Oscar are hypocrite's.
And again, the blame cannot be on Floyd since Cotto (the guy Floyd is ducking) was gonna take the Oscar fight as well, despite Oscar coming off of a loss to Floyd.Comment

this thread kind of reminds me of a little debate i had with a sever floydian..
The same Forrest who got a gift decision against Ike Quartey? The same Foresst who beat a blown up, shot Baldomir? Maybe the Forrest of 6-7 years ago has a good shot at Floyd, but certainly not the 38 year old Foresst. Even then, I still se Foresst being outboxed by Mayweather. Mayweather is no Shane Mosley, that's for sure.Fighters can become shot after one fight. And look, Baldomir was already 36 years old when he fought Foresst and was moving up in weight. Definetly not the same Baldomir of '06. Forrest hasn't even proved to us yet he can beat a Top JM. I don't even think he could beat Oscar or Cory Spinks.stop being biased. If Baldomir was shot when Forrest fought him, then he was shot when PBF fought him. PBF didnt put him through a war. He didnt put him through a grueling brutal fight. He just made him swing and miss. The notion than Carlos Baldomir was a completely broken down fighter only a year later is ridiculous, ludacris and even a lil boosie.Comment

Clearly in the eyes of the boxing public but not in your eyes right?Cotto has more to gain from Oscar than just money, plus Floyd is ducking him ATM.
Floyd has NOTHING to gain BUT money...see the diff?
you will have a lot of trouble making an accurate analogy until you find a fighter who beat another fighter clearly in the eyes of the boxing public, but still pursued a rematch.
And you know how, that they wouldn't take the money? You'll say anything to try to make you point BUT clearly you're the one who is illogical.Comment

Of course the blame can be on Floyd. Floyd and Oscar both agreed to the fight so they are both to blame.I'm not defending Mayweather, I'm attacking Oscar. The general opinion is that ALL the blame is on Floyd for being a *****, ducker, ****er, coward, etc,.

The point about Cotto is a moot one because Cotto would also have fought Floyd. Indeed, both Floyd and Oscar could have fought anyone else in the division but chose to fight each other so there are two options available. We can either blame both fighters for taking the fight or we can blame neither of them. Blaming one of them is hyopcritical and therefore becomes null and void.Comment

Sorry but Floydian has nothing on me. If he had half the intelligence of me, he would have owned you in your lil debate.
But feel free to say anything that makes you feel better. Afterall I don't wanna deprive you of feeling good about yourself......

Right. I'm willing to find common ground for arguments sake. I will take your ducking of the meat of the post as sign of surrender.
On to the second comment, because Tyson is too much of a joke, these guys would lose all credibility taking that fight and you know it. Plus, he is such a joke that he is probably NOT even a big draw anymore. Oscar would look good on Cotto's resume, there is more than one reason to sign that fight.Comment

The difference is, Floyd is using his P4P best shtick to get the biggest money fights possible while Oscar - no longer a contender of anything is using his drawing power to lure any boxer he wants into a fight while controling all the money. He has been doing that for 10 years now. Floyd only started getting PPV money 2 years ago. The difference is Oscar has twice as much money in his banking account then Floyd but is still just as if not more greedy.Of course the blame can be on Floyd. Floyd and Oscar both agreed to the fight so they are both to blame.
The point about Cotto is a moot one because Cotto would also have fought Floyd. Oscar has been milking his fanbase for a long time even though he hasn't won a significant fight in years. Oscar shouldn't even be the 147lb mix with the young guys but he is. He said he would come down to 147 and all the top welterweights got excited. He is bad for boxing.
And that makes him a *****.
But I understand, lets blame Floyd because he is a ducker and a ***** and a *****.....

The only champion who should not fight Oscar is Floyd Mayweather. The reason is that he won the last fight, and the only reason to even make this matchup is money. Other champions have legit reasons for wanting a win over Oscar.Comment
