If Vitali's in any kind of shape, it will be interesting, because Vitali will knock him out early. Peter was gassed after two rounds against Maskaev. Imagine what a fighter under the age of 45 would do.

I must be crazy because I actually think this would be a good fight. I don't think it is right that Vatali gets a shot after being retired for so long, but I do think it would be a battle that would end with a TKO.

The big "if" is what shape the fighters are in. Vitali has been inactive for so long and Peter is really never in shape.

I agree, I think probably Thompson would be a good choice.
I know he hasn't fought in years, but this is a stylistic nightmare for Peter. Vitali is not like Wlad where he is conservative and waits for that big shot. He wears you down with an accumulation(sp?) of punches and then KOs you. Vitali also has a great chin making Peter's chances less of KOing him. Peter would be eating way too many uppercuts and straight rights. I think the only way Peter can win this fight is if Vitali either gets injured during the fight, or the very little chance he has of KOing Vitali.

you and many others keep assuming vitali is going to be like the younger vitali. his timing will be off. he's going to be 50% of himself at best considering all his injuries and all that time out of the ring. I cant stand peter but I think he stops vitali either from injuries,,exhaustion or whatever. this is assuming vit even makes it to the ring in one piece which I doubt. as much as Im a fan of vitali he should stay retired and let his bro take care pf peter instead of disappointing us again

I understand your points know that you clarified yourself....but the fact remains we dont know how he will be able to take the shots now. If this fight was to happen years ago I would be betting my house and cars on him. Since he hasnt fought in years...I just cant see him going in their and doing what he did years ago. ( which was beat the living **** out of people ) His age is going to slow him down. His timing will be a little off IMO and we dont know how he can react to a punch now. I'm not dis*****g your points but I dont see Vitali beating the **** out Peter. It will be a good fight none the less.

I don't like this only cuz I'd rather see wlad with 4 belts instead of having 2 while his brother has the other 2 major belts. thats ******. hopefully vitali losses a brutal ko and wlad could pick the pieces afterwards.
