Two years? It has been a lot longer than that. Hopkins hasn't knocked out a legit middleweight in close to a decade.

Calzaghe is four or five years removed from any real knockouts

I picked decision, but if Calzaghe throws 1000+ punches in this fight, there's a good shot he'll at least hit the canvas once. I can't see giving a natural counterpuncher like Hopkins that many opportunities and getting away unscathed. Most likely though, Hopkins will land some clean shots early in the fight and Calzaghe will stop letting his hands go en route to an easy yet close Hopkins win by UD.

This is not going to be a knockout, nor a unanimous decision...
This is going to be a shut out.
Popkins doesn't have much to offer to Joe at this point.

I predict a come from behind KO by Hopkins in the lucky 13th round, n00b.

There is no reason whatsoever to think that Calzaghe will throw 1000+ punches in this fight. He has no reason to, since Hopkins output has dropped lately. I don't believe Bernard will find Joe quite to easy to counter, but he'll definitely catch Joe with a few.

I think it's a little silly to say this will be an easy win for Hopkins. I can see him winning, but it definitely won't be easy.

A 12 or 13 point decision for Joe is certainly possible. I just don't know if Hopkins would stay around for that kind of embarrassment.

Hop needs to win early rounds this time, which is not what he's accustomed to. Joe takes rounds 5-12, he has the ability to change styles and pace too much for Hopkins. But at the same time I don't see Hopkins starting quickly. So how he wins more than a round or two is beyond me.

                I Picked K.O.

                2 ways.

Calslappy is too much for B-Hop and possibly gets a stoppage.
This is a lrge test for hopkins.. Slapmaster throws alot of punches, and he's no dummy. If Sir-Slapsalot finds his range early*(which is hard against hopkins as we all can see from previous fights)* and can get to the body I think Age will start to show and it will be blamed on how old hopkins was. TKO-9

Hopkins is a King at counter punching... And "Slap happy Hands" throws alot of punches.
Does no one think B-HOP will land any counters from the massive amount of punches "Slapping Dragon" throws. If hopkins can respond fast enough to the openings that "The Slapin King" creates It might be counter punches that end the night. KO-8-11

I love hopkins and hope he wins.. BUTTTTT I'M LEANING TOWARDS CALZAGHE TO MAKE THIS HIS SHINING MOMENT .. AMONG MANY.

I voted a KO. As I have posted in an earlier thread I think JoeC will slap B-hop silly for a late stoppage.

I just cant see an old hopkinosaurus being able to land enough leather to get Joe in trouble. Joe by stoppage late perhaps by mercy from the ref.

                    LOL. Damn straight.

Seriously did you see that Echols fight when Hops kO'd him with a hayemaker to the back of the head? It wasn't really funny but I still laughed my arse off. Echols was given **** all time to recover it was comical

Or later when Echols body slammed Hopkins. haha.

Think it's my new favourite fight. If that ref is involved don't rule Hopkins caving Calzaghe's head in with the ring bell.

The Welshman will probably get a late TKO with hopkins. Like the Manfedo fight but this time with no typical fraud english limey ref involved.
