First of all for the people who dont believe a MMA presser dont be jam packed, Look at Matt Serra vs. St. Pierre 2 in Canada, the whole country was there, o and that sold out in like 3 days.

The Pac Marquez fight aint no damn sold out cuz I checked ticket master and they still had seats available.

Finally while I think it will hit the 300-350 mark, I wouldnt be surprised if it was lower. You guys are acting like these two are huge stars to casual boxing fans, unless its welterweight as far as casual fans go no one cares about the lower weights.

Even with the real fans, don't you idiots act like people actually buy ppv's. Cuz wen fight night comes all i see is "WHERES THE SOPCAST LINK???".

Wateva numbers it does this will hopefully be a great fight that Marquez will win so I can rack up on E points lol
LMAO true most boxing fans are poor or cheapskates.(I am broke right now but I am getting this fight)

and thats my point! those mma fans are loyal I guarantee at least 100k will watch that elite xc on the internet live via stream for free.

Experts are prediction 400,000 PPV buys or more.

A Pacquiao PPV almost NEVER dips below 300,000, especially when its provided by HBO, and especially when its against a name like MARQUEZ
pac vs solis got 230,000 ppv buys.

and the hype around this fight aint even that much, look at all the boxing boards! its not even important...its not like it was before when pacman first burst on the scene dude was getting massive threads for all his fights with barrera, morales...no one seem to care anymore.

the only Asians who care bout pacman is the filipinos and let us face it they are a 3rd world country, now if japan was thinking of pacman then he would be a MEgastar cause there currency is good.

but you cannot call pacman a star yet because only filipines likes him in asia.

until rich asians like him and follow him and he does commericals in japan then he has the chance to be huge.

and JMM well he isnt even famous in spain only mexico and still mexicans love soccer futbol more then him, there was only 1 and thats julio cesar chavez he was like tyson there.

300-400k, Manny has never actually been in the states to fully promote his fights. This is his first time and it will pay off.

I am in England and I am buying Setanta sports JUST for this fight.

I expect the fight to reach around 400 K buys

Jmm is BIG in Mexico. Obviously Football is more popular, but that doesnt make JMM a bonafide star because he absolutely is.

And Pac is HUUUGE in the phillapines, how the hell can u not call him a star. All Asians love him, in Asia he has huge endorsement deals with Nike and such.

Read up before you say dumb **** like this. I cant believe u actually said Pacman wasnt a star. He's 10x bigger then any MMA fighter AND THAT IS A FACT.

And give it some time, by thurs/fri, there will be nothing discussed on this forum EXCEPT for the fight

                well I must respond.

Pacquiao is not HUUGE in asian from what I seen he has no adverts in japan which is the elite of asia.

The guys who are big in japan are the MMA fighters they get good deals and commericals there many actors do japanese commericals cause they pay good money...pacman has only commericals that pay pesos, if he was huge you best believet he japanese would come calling for him to do some commericals.
                .
If pacman was bigger then any MMA fighter why is it they dont know who he is in america? I look at the MMA message boards and they dont know him or even care.

heck they even said his fights are boring so how can he be bigger then an mma star?

I will say that Domain is underestimating their star power and Kball is overestimating their star power.

Pac is HUGE in the Phillipines no doubt about it and I don't kno wat those other guys were talkin about but his fights are exciting.

But Marquez is not huge in Mexico. It may look like boxing is huge in mexico but all of my people from mexico tell me that its not even a big deal and that wrestling is the real draw outside of futbol.

Both Juan and Rafael are not big although they have more fans than others. The only HUGE mexican boxer outside of De La Hoya was Chavez.

With that sed I still think this fight should hit 300k but I really wish you guys would stop thinkin that people are all gonna buy the ppv cuz in truth there not, Calzaghe Kessler and Pavlik Taylor both did underwhelming numbers

you are correct! but these guys on here are butt hurt when you say something true, they cannot handle it.

I wish I had that interview of Oscar LArios and morales saying in Mexico they dont have people rushing them or asking for there signature when they go out like they do in the PI.

LArios said he is basically a nobody in mexico...they can walk down the street and never get mobbed.

the only big star was JCC he was HUGE in mexico.

                      A lot of misinformation.

Boxing and MMA fans are rarely interchangable. MMA fans don't buy boxing PPV's and vice versa.

Pacquiao is a worldwide star. Even if ONLY Filipinos liked him, there are enough around the world to make him a star anyway.

This fight will be huge in the Philippines and moderately so in Mexico. Even if JMM wasn't loved like Morales or Barrera he is still Mexico's last chance to get at Pacquiao.

Japan cannot make anyone "big" - you say Pacquiao isn't big because he's not a star in Japan. Have you heard of the Kameda brothers? Best known stars in Japan yet not many people know him outside of Japan.

This PPV will do well. If even the lowest hyped Pacquiao fight does good numbers this one will probably do average to above average.
