In my opinion an ATG becomes one by beating other ATG's not just top 10 fighters. The strength of the division and quality of opponents also come in to play.

"For his height and reach advantage, he should be kicking but if he was a great fighter. Take away his height and reach advantage, and he would be even with all the other fighters around today."

Are we going to have to bust out the video of him knocking out McCline, Jefferson, and Austin again?

Wlad need to fight a bit more often, three times a year, and take out these good fighters by the end of 2009:

        Thompson
        Povetkin
        Chagaev
        Peter
        Valuev

Then he is clearly an ATG. Anybody who thinks those I've named above are not worthy opponents is not being honest.

By the end of 2009 he should be undisputed champ before we really even start considering him an ATG, I don't think he will ever make the ATG status, he may be the best HW in a weak era but alot of people are gonna look at who he lost to which was brutally knocked out except for the Chris Byrd fight which he quit, and that is gonna take a big toll.

He has to do more to be considered an ATG, he is a very good heavyweight but no where near ATG status yet, he got knocked out 3 times and only avenged 1 of the losses.

No, our memories arent that short to forget his awful display against Ibragamov, and he really hasnt faced anyone of any quality.
Ha didn't even realize it, I meant the latter of the first 10 years of the 21st century.

Some will never look at him too highly due to us being in a weak heavyweight era. If(more like when) he unifies then we could discuss it.

jeez dude. have high expectations much? no great heavyweight has destroyed all opposition even in the weakest of eras which this is not. there's always certain boxers that are extremely difficult to look good against
