    ATG status considering Wladimir?

Is he there yet through unifying and disposing of more then 10+ top 10 heavyweight contenders, as well as being the most dominant champ of the latter part of the 21st century.

    OR

Does he still have to unify all the belts.

Who decides, and where is the line drawn.

He needs all the belts and he needs to start to wiping out all the competition in more impressive fashion. He is in a very weak era, he should be DESTROYING everyone, but isnt.....

I beg to disagree, he has steamed rolled through nothing but top 10 contenders in the last 3 years. He fights the top opposition consistently and wins. I am sure he still hasn't achieved ATG status, but how many more defenses will it take? Or is the honor granted upon a boxer as soon as he unifies.

          This is not accurate.^^

In such a competitive sport as boxing, there will never be an individual who destroys all the top fighters over an extended period.

If there is a person who destroys everyone he faces, he faces lesser opponents.

All ATG fighters have struggled with many quality fighters, even lost some.

Klitschko should first and foremost be more active. Fight 3-4 fights a year.
Preferably 2-3 of them against the top ranked guys, and one "off-fight" a year.
He would need to establish himself as a confident, dominant champion who seeks out the toughest opposition.

Wlad is fighting a uphill struggle to be considered an ATG.
He needs to start doing SOMETHING.

I know people just love to play into the stats, but I think when considering ATG's you need to throw the stats out the window. Or at least don't put so much emphasis on them. It's hard to imagine he could even be considered an ATG with how lame he's looked against the weak opposition of his era. Yes he's had some knockouts, but he's also been knocked out by the same opposition. Anyone can get knocked out if you beat on them enough, but Wlad was KO'd two times early without being worn down by his opponent first. He's a good fighter and everything, I don't even hold his last performance against him because he dominated, and every great heavyweight has had boring fights. But when it comes down to it, his career has been very rocky, and he hasn't looked as good as he should against this type of opposition. For his height and reach advantage, he should be kicking but if he was a great fighter. Take away his height and reach advantage, and he would be even with all the other fighters around today. His chin is also a big strike against him.

You said, "The most dominant champ of the latter part of the 21st century?" lol, i think its the beginning of the 21st centuary actually lol.

No, our memories arent that short to forget his awful display against Ibragamov, and he really hasnt faced anyone of any quality.

He'll have to retire before we can really place his career in the proper context. He needs to be more active, but his record's looking pretty good so far.
