i feel that its unfair to try to take away from campbell by saying diaz was wrong. yes he headbutted him and it was unfortunate but the referee did take a point away. also it was the cutman who wasnt doing their job. so if anything the blame to should lie on his cornerment. there have been many fighters who were to still perform well while being cut. reason being that they usually know what their doing and have the proper equipment. hopefully juan learns from this and try to get his title back. this time with a proper cutman.

Gotta give props to Nate! He fought a really good fight and roughed up Diaz like he had never been roughed up before. I didn't see this coming. I thought it would be relatively easy win for Diaz. Nate really beat him up pretty bad!

Respect to Diaz for finishing the fight and not quitting. He basically took all that punishment for pride. Diaz is a warrior.

I can't believe it was a SD though! That was a clear cut UD blowout.

Id love to see a study on how ethnicity can cloud boxing fans judgement.

              Would be interesting.

Credit to Diaz and Campbell for being tough. Diaz just got outdiazed. He will be back better Im sure, just needs to work on a game plan other than rush in head first then rush in again and repeat all night.

I've stated in many Diaz/Campbell fights that Campbell was one not to be overlooked especially in this situation where desperation can bring out the best in a fighter. This was Nate's last chance at being known for more than someone who just couldnt break the surface and he fought like it. He bruised, battered and broke Juan down the way only a veteran fighter who knows the game could.

As for Juan, well, Nate presented a challenge which Juan had never experienced. He was doing great for the first 4 rounds, but it was pretty obvious that he was getting frustrated with Campbell's refusal to back down and submit to the Baby Bull's bullying. He also didn't know how to handle an injury such as the swollen eye and cut. Why would you continue to wrestle headfirst and agitate the injury? Especially rubbing heads with the injured sides? Other things also affecting Juan was his Cutman. WTF was dude doing? He was practically punching Juan with the metal and didn't seem to use the appropriate solution for Juan's cuts or any kind of jelly to stop the bleeding.

I'm a big Diaz fan and will continue to support Juan through out his career. I still feel that he is capable learning from this experience and will be making adjustments. So much that if a rematch occurs, I still would pick Diaz. Even though I would have liked to have seen Nate win a more cleaner, less dirtier fight where his fist did all the work, its good to see someone who has been struggling come out on top. Now the question is, will Nate take advantage of this huge victory? Or will he choke and be the designer of his own demise?
yes that injury really took him off his game plan. and yes i noticed fools in corner. they fell apart too. when juan acquired that cut the way he reacted reminded me of the mosley forrest I when after mosley recieved forrest head but it took him mentally out of that fight. mosley never was the same!

That sucks Juan lost his belts. He's one of my favorite fighters. Nate Cambell not only traded punches with Diaz, he exposed the weakness of his fighting style. His constant inside pressure left his body exposed and Nate capitalized. Diaz also needs to learn how to step back, jab, and throw straight punches. It would've helped with protecting his eye as well. Great fight wish it went the other way.
