I wanted Haye to win, but like Enzo a lot. When watching the fight, I was a bit angry that the ref didnt rule the first punch a knockdown, but upon replays (of which they havent been many), it seems that his sight was somewhat impaired by Haye. Not that it would've made any difference. Haye had found his range and his power was going to be too much.

How the **** do I know whether you would do a better job? I have seen some abysmal American ref performances. Let's talk about them yeah?

Do you honestly think the ref couldn't see Enzo violently hit the ropes?

thats not the point of the thread, obviously haye wouldve knocked him out soon enough

the question is why some old crusty ass ****** bastard of a ref is standing halfway across the ring fondeling his **** in the midst of a unification fight being televised worldwide... and how the **** does he get the gig when he doesent know the rules of the sport.

The stoppage was the correct call obviously, but when Enzo was saved by the ropes the ref should have gave Enzo a count. We aren't blessed with the best refs in this country. Vann, Parris and the one who reffed Calzaghe = Manfredo are all poor officials IMO.

Watch the replay tomorrow through SOBER eyes.
The speed Haye took him out the ref had no chance.
                  SERIOUSLY.
I've just watched it again and Enzo had no chance.
By the time the ref did step in it was already over.

Look at my poll? Yes, look at my poll. Just about EVERY voting UK member has automatically voted NO in a defensive knee jerk reaction.

                    Yes, look at my poll..

Maccarinelli was out of it??? No ****? Seriously?

addison, you shouldve phrased it "worst refs of any first-world country"

im sure there are some dumb**** refs in thailand, phillipines or nigeria that probably are worse
