So an Englishman shouldn't mind being called Scottish, a scotsman english, a welshie northern irish? Is that what you're saying? The scots for example still dream about bannockburn and still sing about killing the english in their national anthem. There's too much history there to just throw those words together like we're all from the same stock. What happens in the US is irrelevant.

So if you were constantly referred to as being, say, mexican, you wouldn't mind? Even after you have pointed out at least 50 times that you are actually not? You can say whatever you wan't, when it happens to you time after time constantly it will bother you, then you will be an insecure little crybaby too.

You know what's funny? some of the U.K. posters try to act like they are so intelligent because they know more about their own country then we do as foreigners..
There is so many countries out there, we are not gonna know the exact details of every one of them!
Further more.. If we asked them a bunch of random questions about the U.S. of A.
They wouldn't know squat!

The UK has a lot more history than the USA which is very young in comparison, so YES it DOES matter if you call a Welsh man English etc..
