Bull crap. 95% of his fights are ripoffs. He is and has always been wildly overrated.

And besides. the man wears fishnets and women's panties!!!

It's easy to fight the big fights when you control the money and top fighters are still willing to fight you because they're getting the biggest payday possible.

Poor Shane Mosley still wasn't gonna get 50% for a third fight against Oscar even though he defeated him twice, so out of pride, he took less money for a bigger challange against Winky Wright, a guy Oscar still doesn't want to fight to this day.

Now that's stepping up, not what Oscar is doing.

The guy cant fight in my opinion. at least not at the level that his fans believe, past and present. each time he stepped upped he either lost or was handed an unexplainable decision. and of course he fought almost everyone til bhop made him stop blieving his own hype. the guy is a star though, cant dispute that. I think he is becoming mayweather envious if u ask me.

Love him or hate him he's still gonna make all kinds of money this year. I dont see why some of you take the time to come on here and talk all this mess about him knowing that your going to be sitting in front of your t.v. ordering his PPV.

You mean blatantly cutting Cotto in line to get another undeserved shot at Floyd?

Or getting to fight Hopkins after that completely undeserved victory against Sturm?

Hell, he even tried to block Winky Wright from getting to fight Shane Mosley back in 2004 by offering a 50/50 split to Shane for a third fight after he was down 0-2 in the count.

There are a lot of things that Oscar has done that are ridiculously selfish, and none of them have really been very good for the sport.

Oscar doesn't need the cash anymore so it's good that he's retiring after this year. Plus he has so much other business endeavors it's not like he's gonna have a shortage of money. Next year with him out of the picture, hopefully we'll get fights that he stood in the way of.

I've watched Oscar since his Olympics and have much respect for what he's done, but that being said, I'm glad to see him go. Time to let some other boxers shine.
