No. It was changed for a reason. It was obvious that Marquez didn't want anymore. He was hanging on for dear life at certain points in the 12th. Had it gone to the 13th round, Izzy would've just brutalized him more, and there simply is no need for that.

No, these are in a sense irrelevant, we still have more deaths in 15 round fights then 12 rounds fights and under different circumstances like planned mismatches, infitedness, etc...
And still, I stand by my notion that 12 rounds is an optimal length for a championship fight.Comment
