Eh? My against argument that you got to have some respect for boxer's life.

Now, I am usually the biggest sceptic of fighters who complain about how much they had to drain themselves to make weight(e.g David Haye) but as it is 12 rounds is the optimal time for fighters to fight.

Would 10 round fights be more respectful?

Yeah, but I bet a world class fighter could be pretty well off fighting 3 dudes from a local bar a week.

I mean Tucan McGinty pretty much lived off of it. But then again he fought black fighters too, that greedy scotsman.

No, as I said, 12 rounds is optimal. And no need to be cheeky.

I'd be interested to see what type of research her article was based on. I imagine that the decision to shorten championship fights from 15 to 12 rounds must have been supported by some convincing statistics. Although I'll admit that I wish for an extra round every now and then, I am personally satisfied with championship fights being 12 rounds. As others have already suggested, it seems fairly logical to assume that the intensity of a 12 round fight is going to be greater than that of a 15 rounder. I prefer an intense fight to a battle of attrition.

True, there aren't enough bums to setup to even make it feasible now.

These guys were not bums, they were not fighters period. Just some guys who needed an extra twenty bucks for some whisky shots.

I was given the impression that it was not. It was portrayed as a knee-jerk, emotional, pressurized reaction to the death of Doo Koo Kim.
