No it isn't you fool. Lewis is of Jamaican ancestry, he only qualifies as english citizenship because he lived their for longer than 8 years.
Calzaghe's case, neither of his parents are english, he says in his book his nationality is Welsh because his mother is Welsh and he's lived their all his life. He just happened to be born in London when he was passing through and never lived their longer than a few months.
The UK has a home nations rule, Tony ****ing blair was born in Scotland but neither of his parents are Scottish and his nationality is English. With new UK law an immigrant born in London isn't automatically english now.

Not amymore, if neither parent are British citizens(as was the case with Lewis, both were Jamaican citizens) the child can not become a British Citizen. This law came into effect on the 1st of January 1983. However if they child lives in Britain for longer than 8 years he will become British,
But the basic rule since the law was changed is that a child Born in the UK must have at least one parent who is a British Citizen in order to be British.
(Right by birth, ie nationality by birth) has been stopped for a long time if neith parent are British.

Lewis was Born in 1965 ,clearly that law did'nt or does'nt apply to Lennox

i dont care what the law says Country of Origin is your nationality ,nothing will change my stance on that ,Owen Hargreaves aint English as far as im concerned cause he was born in Canada

You don't understand nationality is given based on the Law, if Lewis was born after 1983 he wouldn't be english, because as the the law states at least 1 of his parents need to be British and neither were. He could not fight as an english fighter if born after 1983. period.
This Law affects the hundreds of thousand of immigrants who have entered the UK since 1983. What you think mean zero. the Law is based on what is most important, Parents nationality.

Sorry *******, Lewis has Canadian citizenship, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to represent Canada in the Olypmics(Canadian citizenship is a requirement). The fact he could fight for Britain is another example of why the Law was changed in 1983.

So even under the new law Lewis would be British seens as though he was born and lived in London for 12 years.

No it would have been rescinded, when he moved to Canada and was granted Canadian citizenship to fight for Canada in the Olympics. As both his parents were not born in Britain.
